Technical Education

Fashion Design and Management

Available places: 108

  • Full-time vocational training in a wide variety of aspects of Fashion Design and Management, including, e.g., garment construction, merchandising, production and quality supervision with all technical skills required for the entire garment manufacturing chain.
  • Additional training: Computer classes, English communication, Personality development and Employability skills
  • Duration of the technical education: 15 months starting 2nd August until October 31st  of the following year including a 3-month apprenticeship period
  • Class schedule: 8:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday; a number of Saturdays reserved for market visits and other activities.
  • Language of instruction: Mixed in Hindi and English

Employment Opportunities 

Within the organized sector, the garment industry is the largest generator of employment in India. Appropriately qualified staff is therefore in great demand on the local job market of the National Capital Region of Delhi.

Graduates start their career as

  • Assistant Production Manager
  • Assistant Quality Supervisor
  • Assistant Merchandiser
  • Assistant Floor Supervisor
  • Assistant Store Manager
  • Assistant Sampling Coordinator etc.

in fashion houses, garment production units, buying houses, garment export houses or garment boutiques and then continually progress in their careers.

Diploma in Fashion Design and Management by the Samuel Foundation Charitable India Trust

Your prerequisites

  • Economically weak background
  • Between 17 and 25 years of age
  • Educational level of minimum 10th pass

Application process

  • Application period for the programme: March to end of May of every year
  • Application form to be filled out and sent to our training centre before the end of the application period.
